Johnston Animal Hospital is a family-run veterinary clinic that offers care that is both compassionate and comprehensive. This 5,200 square foot hospital was designed to meet AAHA standards for accreditation and also follow Fear Free and Cat Friendly practices.
The hospital features 4 exam rooms, a generous treatment area, dental suite and an ICU. There is separate canine and feline housing for both patients and boarding. Part of their Fear Free efforts include a sound system which plays soothing music throughout the hospital, creating a comforting atmosphere; and calming scents and pheromones are also used within the facility to help mitigate patient stress and promote a peaceful environment.
In addition to providing a more relaxing environment for pets in their hospital, Johnston Animal Hospital also utilizes modern technology in their service offerings. High-definition digital radiographs are taken in their imaging room providing clearer images than the x-rays of old. The dual-table surgery suite offers standard surgery and CO2 Surgical Laser surgery. The CO2 laser surgery is a surgical process which helps decrease post-operative pain, bleeding swelling and blood loss, and reduces surgical infection.
