In 1998, Wendy joined BDA Architecture, and began to establish a specialized focus of architecture in animal care facilities, training directly under the guidance of Wayne Usiak, Principal Architect, and founder of the firm. Today she heads the architecture and interior design departments as the Director of Design. She is currently a shareholder and one of three Principals-in-charge.
To date, Wendy brings ten years of experience in architecture and interior design; nine years toward the completion of 150+ veterinary treatment and animal housing facilities throughout the United States. Her designs have contributed to ten Veterinary Economics Hospital Design Awards won by BDA Architecture; most recently the 2007 winner of its category, South Suburban Animal Hospital.
